Striking in color and full of personality, Bloody Mary Shrimp are a standout variety in the Neocaridina family. Often compared to Red Cherry Shrimp, Bloody Marys are distinguished by their deep red coloration that extends through both the shell and flesh, giving them a more vivid, glassy appearance. They also feature a shorter rostrum, setting them apart from other red shrimp types.
With proper care, these freshwater shrimp can live for 1–2 years and are known to breed readily in stable, healthy tank conditions.
In addition to their beauty, Bloody Mary Shrimp are also functional—they're excellent algae grazers and constantly forage on biofilm, detritus, and algae growing on plants, substrate, and glass. A perfect combination of form and function for any freshwater shrimp tank or aquascape.
